Veterans Cricket is undergoing huge growth, with regional contests, national tournaments and New Zealand representative teams selected to travel overseas at Over 40’s, 50’s 60’s and 70’s.

To achieve an even spread of players in the veterans grade, New Zealand has been divided into four regions:
- Auckland (includes Northland)
- Districts (the North Island apart from Auckland and Wellington/Wairarapa/Horowhenua)
- Wellington/Tasman
- Canterbury/Otago
