The BLACKCAPS laid down an early marker at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup with a convincing six-wicket win over heavyweights India in their warm-up match at The Oval.
Trent Boult led the way with 4-33 including three early wickets in the space of 14 balls as the number two ODI side in the world was dismissed for 179 in the 40th over.

Jimmy Neesham chipped in with three wickets and Colin de Grandhomme silenced the large crowd at The Oval when he castled Indian captain Virat Kohli for 18 with a ball that nipped back through the gate.
Chasing a mediocre total on a tricky pitch it was the familiar duo of Ross Taylor (71) and captain Kane Williamson (67) who anchored the chase.
The pair combined for a classy 114-run stand, before leaving it to Henry Nicholls (15*) and Tom Blundell to finish the job with six wickets in hand and twelve overs to spare.

Earlier, Ross Taylor and Martin Guptill both snared brilliant catches to round off a quality New Zealand effort in the field.
Tom Latham and Matt Henry were the non-players as the BLACKCAPS played a 13-man side for the warm-up.
