A sold-out Saxton Oval was treated to an action-packed afternoon of T20 cricket with the BLACKCAPS claiming a convincing 47-run victory over West Indies.
21-year-old wicket-keeper-batsman Glenn Phillips was the toast of Nelson after scoring a maiden half-century and claiming four dismissals, including an incredible diving catch to dismiss Chris Gayle.
The series now moves to Mount Maunganui for the final two T20s on the 1st and 3rd of December.
