Whetu na Nagara top-scored with 58 and Tom O’Connor batted well with 35 runs. Jack Hyde led from the front for Christchurch Boys’ picking up a superb 4-27 to keep the pressure on Palmerston North Boys’ throughout their innings.
Christchurch Boys’ lost their opening batsmen relatively cheaply at the beginning of their innings, but Will Jordan put in a brilliant display with the bat to produce the tournament’s first century.
Jordan scored 102 not out from 83 balls to bring his side to a comfortable victory. Jack Lewis built a good partnership with Jordan, and made 41 runs to help Christchurch Boys’ to a six-wicket win.
