Devine Stars in Dominant Blaze Victory

It was another dominant display by the State Wellington Blaze in their second round Twenty20 match against the State Auckland Heart’s on the Eden Park Outer Oval.  Batting first the Blaze made 148, with Sophie Devine hitting the fence seven times and clearing it twice on her way 50 runs off only 28 balls.  In reply the Hearts were bowled out for 90, a massive 58 runs behind.  After starring with the bat it was Devine who provided the tidiest bowling spell, returning figures of three for 12 off 3.1 overs.  Wellington have set the benchmark this season and will be difficult to beat if they continue to perform to this standard.
