The Twenty20 women's cricket Rose bowl match between the White Ferns and Australian Southern Stars in Hamilton has been abandoned.

Play was due to start at 2.45pm, but heavy rain since early this morning meant the ground was unsuitable for play. At 3.45pm it was announced the match was abandoned.
The match was to be the first of fiveTwenty20 internationals between the two sides, with the second to be played on Thursday in Nelson.
