CANTERBURY MAGICIANS beat Northern Spirit by six wickets

Despite winning the toss and opting to bat first, Northern Spirit found they couldn't emulate the previous day's extraordinary performance with the bat, the result against the Magicians reversed in the final round of the 2018/19 regular season.
Spirit set the Magicians a chase of just 177 for victory, Eimear Richardson playing something of a lone hand in the top seven with her 41, before Mereana Hyde's 49 provided some much needed late runs. Legspinner Erin Bermingham was the chief destroyer with the ball, claiming a superb 4-19 off her 10 overs.
Kate Ebrahim's unbeaten 88* at first drop made short work of the chase, the six-wicket victory completed in the 36th over.
