Magicians rack up big win over Hearts

In a rain-disrupted match in Christchurch, Canterbury Magicians eased to a 91-run win over Auckland Hearts under the Duckworth-Lewis system after setting an imposing 176 for four off their 20 overs.

Captain Amy Satterthwaite set the tone for Canterbury with a hard-hit unbeaten 80 off 47 balls, well backed up by opener Frances Mackay's 52.

Satterthwaite carved 12 boundaries in her highest Twenty20 score, surpassing her previous best of 50 not out.

Auckland were set a revised target of 155 runs in 17 overs after rain halted play in the second over of their chase, and they never looked likely in stumbling to be all out of 63 in 14 overs.

For Canterbury, Lea Tahuhu finished with 3-6 off three overs, while Erin Bermingham picked up 2-16 off four.
