Auckland Hearts remain winless after Otago Sparks cruised to a 41-run victory at Colin Maiden Park in Auckland.
Sent in by Auckland, Otago impressed in reaching 162 for four, led by Suzie Bates with 48 from 39 and captain Katey Martin's 46 from 38.
Auckland never looked convincing, losing too many early wickets to threaten the imposing total.
Some useful middle order support came from Katie Paerkins' unbeaten 61, but Auckland never really recovered after Otago's Hong Kong-born English import Natasha Miles ripped through the top order with 3-17.
