Records tumbled at the YMCA Cricket Club in Dublin on Friday as the WHITE FERNS plundered an ODI world-record total of 490-4 during a 346-run victory over Ireland.

A polished 151 by captain Suzie Bates and career-high scores by Maddy Green (121), Amelia Kerr (81*) and debutant Jess Watkin (62) helped boost the visitors past their own previous best team total of 455-5, set against Pakistan in 1997 in Christchurch.

Bates’ 10th ODI century saw her surpass the great Debbie Hockley (4,066) as the WHITE FERNS all-time ODI leading runs scorer with 4,192 runs.

Bates’ 94-ball innings featured a strike rate of 160.63, the second-highest in an innings of 100 or more in women’s ODI cricket.
