South Africa have won the ODI series against the WHITE FERNS after claiming an eight wicket win and an unassailable 2-0 series lead at Eden Park Outer Oval.
WHITE FERNS skipper Sophie Devine won the toss and elected to bat first but her side could only muster 115 in 36 overs.
Suzie Bates top scored with 38, the innings stuttering with back-to-back run outs of key batters Sophie Devine then Katie Perkins.
South Africa’s women made short work of the total, Lizelle Lee (38) once again showing her class at the top of the order before Mignon du Preez (35*) and Sune Luus (37*) finished the match off in the 24th over.
The teams now head to Hamilton for the third and final ODI on Thursday.
