South Africa have won the ODI series 3-0 after victory over the WHITE FERNS in the final match at Seddon Park.

The WHITE FERNS were sent in to bat by South Africa but their innings only lasted 38 overs as they were bowled out for 149.

Suzie Bates made her second half-century of the series to top score with 51, but the fall of wickets at regular intervals, with the exception of a 59-run stand between Bates and skipper Sophie Devine, meant the WHITE FERNS were unable to build any momentum.

The WHITE FERNS bowlers did what they could to defend the total, claiming four South African wickets, but ultimately there weren't enough runs on the board as Mignon du Preez (35*) and Marizanne Kapp (16*) saw their side home in the 38th over.

Focus now turns to the T20I series, which begins at Bay Oval on Sunday.
