Otumoetai 94/9 (SA McLauchlan 22*, TJ Pringle 20, CG Elliott 2/17) lost to Balmacewan Intermediate 95/3 (JM Cumming 23, SC Miller 20*) by 7 wickets

Scorecard

That result confirmed Otumoetai would finish the tournament in sixth place, and Balmacewen finishing in fourth. The match also featured a piece of cricket trivia with the sons of two former BLACKCAPS, Craig Cumming and Chris Pringle, facing off against each other.

Raroa Normal Intermediate School v King’s School

Raroa Intermediate 97/7 (OT Argent 21*, SJ French 20, LP Chandulal 2/6) beat King’s School 91 all out (SM MacDonald 18, M Nel 3-19) by 6 runs

Scorecard

King’s School had the chance to be crowned champions on Bert Sutcliffe Oval in their last game of the tournament, versus Raroa Normal Intermediate School. Raroa batted first, and Sammy French continued his impressive form scoring 20 runs and helping his side to a total of 91. Louie Chandulal bowled well for King’s with tight figures of 2-6. King’s struggled to stay composed during their batting innings and lost regular wickets to some fine bowling by Matt Nel, who picked up 3-19 and helped lead his side to victory.

The upset win by Raroa meant King’s (pictured below) slipped down to second place, while Raroa finished the tournament in fifth place.

Medbury School v Huntley School

Medbury School 120/8 (ZRH May 41, AH Sidey 30, HGR Godfrey 2/37) beat Huntley School 90/7 (LTA Love 38*, ZRH May 2/9) by 30 runs
