Blaze duo show form

Sophie Devine and Sarah Hill combined to give State Wellington Blaze an eight-wicket win over State Northern Spirit in Hamilton.

Hill claimed a record six catches, five off Devine, who went for just 23 runs from 10 overs for her best career figures as Northern was dismissed for 116 in 36 overs.

Megan Murphy (26) and Kirbie Samkin (23) top scored for Spirit, but Wellington hunted down the total for the loss of only two wickets in 29 overs,

Anna Smith (39), Liz Scurr (28) and Megan Wakefield (29) led the way for their side as they eased to victory.
