Selena Charteris took five wickets as State Canterbury Magicians began their build-up to the State League final with a nine-wicket victory over State Otago Sparks in Alexandra.
A haul of five for 31 by Charteris and three for 27 from Rebecca Steele reduced Otago to 130 all out at Molyneux Park.
The Magicians batters took over where their bowlers finished, reaching their total in 31 overs.
Maria Fahey made 43 and Mandi Godliman 52 in a century opening stand which set up the comprehensive win.
