New Zealand Cricket is excited to announce the 2015/16 Community Cricket Award winners. These awards are a thank you to volunteers and development staff who have put endless time and commitment into improving the game within their community.
The winners are as follows:
Club of the Year - Red Star Cricket Club (Central Districts)
Volunteer of the Year - Mike McCarthy (Auckland)
Official of the Year - Kannan Jagannathan (Otago)
Best Female Engagement Strategy - Rebecca Yee, Bay of Plenty Cricket (Northern Districts)
Cricket Development Officer of the Year - David McDonald (Northern Districts)
Outstanding Contribution to Coaching - David Berry (Central Districts)
Outstanding Contribution to Cricket - Gordon Dry (Wellington)
Detailed information regarding our Community Cricket Awards winners will be released leading into the New Zealand Cricket Awards being held on the 30th March, 2017. Award winners for the Secondary School Boys’ First XI Cup Young Cricketer of the Year and the Secondary School Girls’ Young Cricketer of the Year will be found in December and the Sir Jack Newman award recipient will be named in January 2017.
