Emily Drumm is set to make her 100th One-Day International appearance for the White Ferns today as they look to clinch a series victory against India at Lincoln’s Bert Sutcliffe Oval.
The 31 year-old will join fellow White Fern Debbie Hockley and State Otago Sparks’ ex-England player-coach Clare Taylor in an elite group of players to reach their century.
The right-hand bat, who has scored 2694 runs in her 99 games, said: “It’s quite a milestone and you certainly don’t think about that kind of stuff when you start as a kid.
“I’ve seen the amalgamation of the men’s and women’s games under New Zealand cricket and the amalgamation of the IWCC and the ICC.
“There’s a more professional approach now, even though it’s still an amateur game.
“We’ve won the world cup, we’ve hosted it and things are now on a different level of funding and backing which was certainly wasn’t here when I started.
“It’s certainly better to play in the State League, which is now a full round robin rather than a tournament that lasts a week, a proper league.”

“You can’t look past the World Cup. It was a huge day.”
The White Ferns lead the series 2-1 going into the fourth match.
