On July Wednesday 21 Canterbury Cricket umpires are hosting an evening with ICC Elite International umpire Tony Hill – and you are invited.
The evening is a chance for cricket enthusiasts and those interested in umpiring to come along to meet and chat with someone who has made a career out of officiating.
Get your cricketing questions answered, hear about what it’s like to stand in the middle at some of the great cricket grounds of the world and find out how you can turn an interest into a career.
Rodger McHarg, New Zealand Cricket’s national umpiring manager said it will be a great night. “NZC is pleased to share with Canterbury umpires and people interested in umpiring, the latest from one of the world’s leading cricket officials,” he said. “All questions and comments are welcome. Come along and hear stories about Tony’s travels, what it’s like to be an international umpire and how you can become a cricket official.”
The evening is open for people of all ages and is free of charge. But if you would like to go along to the evening please preregister your attendance to - Dallas McIlraith - mcilraith@paradise.net.nz
