Who will be New Zealand's top First XI?

The 2015 Secondary School Boys’ First XI Cup Finals are underway on from 10am today at the New Zealand Cricket High Performance Centre in Lincoln.

The Secondary School Boys’ First XI Cup (formerly known as the Gillette Cup) is made up of six teams, each of which won their regional qualifying round tournaments.The finals will be played on the three cricket grounds at the New Zealand Cricket High Performance Centre based at Lincoln University: Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln Green and Lincoln No. 3 Ground.

    Westlake Boys’ High School (Auckland)
    Hamilton Boys’ High School (Northern Districts)
    Palmerston North Boys’ High School (Central Districts)
    Hutt International Boys’ School (Wellington)
    Christchurch Boys’ High School (Canterbury)
    Otago Boys’ High School (Dunedin)

The tournament format comprises a full round robin of 50-over matches, after which the team finishing top of the table will be crowned the Secondary School Boys’ First XI Cup Champions for 2015.

In today's first round, Westlake Boys’ High School play Palmerston North Boys’ High School on Bert Sutcliffe Oval; Otago Boys’ High School take on Hutt International Boys’ School at the Lincoln No. 3 Ground, and Hamilton Boys’ High School will square off against Christchurch Boys’ High School on Lincoln Green, first game from 10am.
