Kirsty Flavell has left her role as State Canterbury Magicians coach.
The former White Fern has made herself unavailable for consideration for the position she has held for the last three seasons.
The Magicians reached the State League final in each year of her tenure, sharing the title with State Wellington Blaze in 2003-4, winning in 2004-5 and losing to State Central Hinds earlier this year.
Canterbury Cricket’s Director of Coaching and Development Richard Hayward said: “Kirsty has done a superb job with the team.
“She is an outstanding coach which has been recognised by New Zealand Cricket with her appointment this season as assistant coach to the New Zealand “A” team.
“Kirsty will be sorely missed but we hope that she will return to coaching in the foreseeable future.”
