Hearts leapfrog Spirit

State Auckland Hearts overtook State Northern Spirit in the final State League table after a four-wicket win at Manurewa’s Weymouth Oval.

Auckland denied Northern capitalising on their outside chance of reaching the final with a match remaining by scoring the win earned them fourth place in the final analysis.

Megan Tremaine (44 not out) and Katie Perkins (37) provided an important partnership of 79 to complete their fourth win of the season.
