Magicians double up

State Canterbury Magicians made it two wins out of two completed State League games with a comfortable eight-wicket victory over State Auckland Hearts at Rangiora.

Victoria Lind scored 43 for the second consecutive innings as Auckland posted 171 batting first at the MainPower Oval, having won the toss.

Canterbury dismissed the visitors with three overs to spare, and made light work of chasing down the target, winning in 34.1 overs, with Maria Fahey top-scoring with 49.
