Hamilton Boys’ High School looked to continue their good start to the tournament and, on day three, won the toss against New Plymouth Boys’ High School and decided to bat first.

However, their day did not go to plan and they soon found themselves bowled out for 56 runs, within just 24 overs.

Zac Betteridge was the standout bowler for New Plymouth with figures of 4-6 and Corbin Nelley also bowled well, picking up 2/18.

Hamilton BHS would need quick wickets, but Oliver Burbidge (30) and Sebastian Lauderdale-Smith (17) ensured it would be a comfortable run chase for New Plymouth Boys’ High School as they helped their side to their first win of the tournament, winning by eight wickets.
