New Zealand Cricket Museum Trust appoint new Director

The New Zealand Cricket Museum Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of a new director following the retirement of David Mealing in January.

Jamie Bell is a young professional with strong qualifications and varied experience in the museum and heritage sector. Bell has a Masters in Museum Studies from Victoria and a postgraduate diploma in Marketing from Otago University. He takes up the position in May.

After four years as Curator at Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery in Alexandra, he is currently Senior Interpretation Coodinator at Auckland Zoo and took a leading role in the development of the major new attraction Te Wao Nui.

He looks forward to bringing his strong background in interpretation and exhibition development to the role as well as a lifelong passion for cricket.

“The work that David’s put in over the years has been exceptional and I’m looking forward to building on that to create new and innovative visitor experiences.

“I think it’s a really exciting time for the New Zealand Cricket Museum and I’m thrilled to be coming on board,” he says.
