No play in Championship

The second day of the State Championship matches have been abandoned.

The game between State Central Stags and State Northern Knights was abandoned without a ball delivered after heavy rain at Lincoln.

The Stags finished day one on 366 for five at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval, after a hundred by Mathew Sinclair and half-centuries by Greg Hay (62 not out), Jamie How (52) and Geoff Barnett (59).

At Christchurch's QEII Park, State Wellington Firebirds will return on Friday on two without loss, pursuing State Auckland Aces' 245, after no play was possible.
