New Zealand Cricket today announced that BLACKCAPS assistant coach Trent Woodhill has renewed his contract.
Woodhill joined the BLACKCAPS team ahead of the Sri Lankan tri-series in August 2010 and has re-signed until October 2012.
NZC Director of Cricket, John Buchanan, said he was thrilled to have the services of such a high calibre coach to support John Wright and the BLACKCAPS.
“Trent has forged a strong and successful relationship with John and indeed the entire BLACKCAPS unit.
“He has been recognised as a key influence behind the teams remarkable fielding performance at the ICC Cricket World Cup. Having his specialist skills to support the BLACKCAPS is a fantastic step forward for New Zealand Cricket”
BLACKCAPS head coach John Wright also delighted to have the services of Woodhill saying: “I look forward to working with Trent - he is an important part of our coaching set up.”
Woodhill’s next assignment will be with the New Zealand A squad for winter training and the Emerging Players Tournament in Brisbane next month.
