New Zealand Cricket is saddened by the passing of representative umpire Peter Gasston on Monday. He was 56.
Peter was a recent New Zealand Cricket Panel umpire from 2005/2006 to 2014/2015 standing in six first-class; eight List A, eight domestic T20, and 44 women's domestic league matches - alongside multiple NZC tournaments held at Lincoln.
Peter was also a loyal and dedicated member of the Auckland Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association making a significant contribution to Auckland Cricket both on and off the field.
He is survived by his wife Sue and son Remy.
