Jacob Oram and Tim Southee spent time coaching four of Northern District’s best young talents in a mentoring session yesterday at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
The training is part of a new initiative by New Zealand Cricket which will see top age group players from around the country work at close quarters with members of the BLACKCAPS.
Scott Johnston from the Northern Districts Junior Secondary School Development team, Sam Cooper and Zac Gibson from the Northern Districts U-16 team and U-19 World Cup prospect Sam Cooper all took part in the session which went for one hour.
Oram and Southee talked ot the boy's about their experiences as a BLACKCAP before taking them for some cricketing drills.
