The State Otago Volts have won the toss and decided to bowl in the knock-out semi-final against the State Canterbury Wizards at QEII Park in Christchurch today.
Both teams have made one change from the final round of the State Shield with Sean Eathorne replacing new BLACKCAP Neil Broom for Otago and veteran Chris Harris coming in for the recalled BLACKCAP Peter Fulton.
Canterbury were rewarded with a home semi-final by beating competition leaders and automatic finalists the State Northern Knights in the final round robin match of the State Shield. Otago, who add already qualified for a semi-final spot going into the final round lost by one wicket to Wellington to finish third.
