Peter Griffiths named Cricket Statistician of the Year

New Zealand Cricket would like to congratulate Peter Griffiths who was named Cricket Statistician of the Year at the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians (ACS) Annual General Meeting.

The citation states that the award is for his work on creating CricketArchive as the most comprehensive on-line cricket database.

Peter Griffiths is a businessman who, after running a successful computer software company, and a publishing company with his wife, was one of the founders of the popular cricket website CricInfo.

Subsequently, he and Philip Bailey founded CricketArchive, which now has the largest searchable on-line database of cricket scorecards and players.

The ACS was founded in 1977. Its prime aim is to further research into cricket statistics and history and to publish the results.
