Team effort destroys Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe may not have been the toughest side the BLACKCAPS have faced over recent seasons, but it was pleasing to see each player contribute to the crushing Test series victory.

While the return of with his 13 wickets at 9.2 was the highlight, the rest of team also contributed.

The centuries scored by and Brendon McCullum were instrumental in the first Test victory, while Nathan Astle's hundred in the second set up another comprehensive win.

Stephen Fleming and Lou Vincent were also among the runs, while Bond was well supported at the bowling crease by Vettori, Chris Martin and James Franklin. The series was not only a special one for Vettori because of his record-breaking century in the first Test, but he also became the third New Zealander to take 200 test wickets.

The series win sees the BLACKCAPS gain a point in the ICC Test Championship. They are now level with South Africa in fourth place on 100 points.
