Three In The Running at Maori Sports Awards

An exciting week for Kiwi women in cricket continues with WHITE FERNS captain Suzie Bates and Wellington umpire Kathy Cross both in the running for national sports awards this weekend.

Cricket has provided three finalists to the 2016 Aotearoa Maori Sports Awards, Bates and Cross joining BLACKCAP Trent Boult — and the showcase will also see the announcement of this year’s winner of the NZC Maori Cricket Scholarship.

The awards begin from 6pm this Saturday night. The black tie event, in its 26th year, is livestreamed by Maori Television, and broadcast the following evening (Sunday).
