View scorecard
Unbeaten Auckland Grammar was sent in to bat in their encounter with Hamilton Boys’ High School and from the start they looked very comfortable at the crease.
Ollie White picked up where he left off yesterday, starting to dismantle the Hamilton BHS bowling line-up.
His clinical performance saw him post the first century of the tournament, hitting 116 off 100 balls for a truly brilliant display of batting that put his school in an unbeatable position.
Grammar first drop Flynn Dudson also had a day to remember, showing his class with the bat as he followed in White’s footsteps to bring up his own century: 104 from 102 balls.
White and Dudson are now the tournament's two leading runscorers, and their partnership of 175 runs resulted in a mammoth total of 270/4 in their side's 40 overs.
Points table and statistics
Shaan Bhatia had battled well with the ball for Hamilton BHS and finished with figures of 2/39, but Hamilton started their run chase on shaky ground, losing regular wickets until Josh Dinan held up one end and managed to reach a good score with his unbeaten 45.
Unfortunately for Hamilton BHS, no partnerships were established while Dinan was batting well, which resulted in their side falling to a hefty 184-run loss: bowled out for 86.
Sanjeev Somnath bowled superbly for Auckland Grammar, picking up 3/5 while Ollie White capped off a great day with his 3/15 as the leading team went four from four.
