Two Shield matches abandoned

Two matches in the sixth round of State Shield games were abandoned without play.

Leaders State Auckland Aces and second-placed State Wellington Firebirds at saw their game at Eden Park washed out.

At New Plymouth‘s Pukekura Park, rain also ended any chance of the match between last season’s finalists State Central Stags and State Canterbury Wizards taking place.
