After restricting England to 110/9 through a disciplined display with the ball, Sophie Devine steered the team to victory with an undefeated knock of 51 from 40 balls.
She combined with Suzie Bates (20), to put on 54 for the first wicket inside the first five overs of the chase. Devine was joined by Melie Kerr (21*) to see the team home with almost 12 overs to spare and claim the country's first ever women's cricket medal at the Games.
Earlier, Hayley Jensen (3-24) continued her strong form with the ball and 18-year old spinner Fran Jonas (2-22) notched career best figures.
