Hannah Rowe

Palmerston North's Hannah Rowe made her WHITE FERNS debut against England in February 2015 while still in her teens.

Rowe also made her mark at the backend of the 2017 World Cup where she was named Player of the Match against West Indies before leading the way with the ball against India in pool-play.

Rowe uses her height and pace to her advantage and represents the Central Hinds at domestic level, she also studied in her home town, completing a Bachelor of Communications. 

She grew up on a dairy farm in Manawatu and has played organised cricket since she was eight, starting with the Te Kawau Juniors.

1.    How did you get into cricket? Used to watch my brother play in the backyard and got sick of having to just field so I played as well. There was a very competitive backyard atmosphere

2.    Where were you when you got the news that you’d made the WHITE FERNS team? At a domestic match in Auckland

3.    What’s your day job? Student at Massey University - Palmy

4.    What do you do in your spare time to relax? Hang out with friends and family – netball, going out for food/smoothies. Driving range.

5.    Do you have any hidden talents? Juggling

6.    Who inspires you? The team, my friends and family

7.    Person you’d most like to have a selfie with? Hamish and Andy – Aussie Comedians  or Kit Harrington

8.    What advice would you give to young budding WHITE FERNS? Lea Tahuhu isnt as scary as you think
